Woodscapes

Whatever the subjects are, Julia tends to return to them over many years whenever she can explore them further, and this is as true of her woodscapes as any other subject. Whenever one walks through a wood, there are many neglected discarded pieces often allowed to rot. Julia wants to add value and look into a stump or even a branch, and look closer and closer and see a hidden world within. This fascinates Julia and how it can either be left as a combination of abstract shapes within a whole, or in fact tweaked slightly to reveal forms that people can relate to.
